Southeastern CT Genealogy

I live in New London County in Connecticut. All of the genealogical research I need to do is in Albany, NY, or Boston, MA, or Bridgeport, CT - places that aren't easy for me to get to. My last name is pretty unique and I've been lucky to find some useful information on the Internet just by searching on my last name, and I am grateful to those who have posted that information. These pages are my attempt to post something on my web site that may help other genealogists out there on the web in the same situation that I'm in. As I find time I'll continue to add to this effort.

Old Leffingwell Cemetery - 1792

My first project. This is an old, relatively small cemetery that I used to pass by when I took my sons for a walk in their stroller. It is actually on a small hill in the back yard of a house and there is no access to it except through the yard. I've never actually gone back to the cemetery because I didn't want to just go marching back there, and I never saw any of the residents of that house outside when I walked by. There is a sign that I can read from the road which says "Old Leffingwell Cemetery 1792". I did a web search to verify that this information hadn't been posted already. Then, before I went and compiled a list of occupants myself, I checked with the Town of Bozrah and, sure enough, someone beat me to it 64 years ago.
